La Quinta Inn & Suites Gonzales at 1631 Water Street, Gonzales, Texas.

My boyfriend and I chose this hotel as it had good reviews and was close to the event we would be attending. When we arrived the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating; however, things started going downward from there. The room was nice and clean but when we got ready to shower we realized there was no hot water. We figured out that you had to turn on the water AN HOUR in advance for it to heat up. The AC/heater was also not working so the room was freezing. We worked around the shower and AC thing since we really weren’t in a hurry. The next day we left our room around 11am and came back at 9pm.... our room was not cleaned, and when we went downstairs to ask for more towels we were told they did not have any. At this point we were just tired so we went to bed. The next morning before we checked out we saw someone had pooped on the floor near the elevators! The whole floor smelled! I don’t think we’ll be visiting again. This only gets two stars because of the nice ladies at the front desk.

I left a review previously and it was deleted. I stayed at this La Quinta on 3/23 with a large group for the Texas Independence Relay under the last name of Lawler. I mistakenly left my Tempru-pedic pillow in the room. I called the day I left and made arrangements to have the pillow shipped to my home near Austin. We created a fed ex account per the managers instructions to have it shipped. I’ve called the hotel 3 times and asked the manager to call me to tell me why it hasn’t been sent and I have yet to receive a reply. It’s been 3 weeks now and still no pillow. If this was a Marriott, it would have been sent on the first day. Can someone please just ship me my pillow on my own fed ex account paid for by me? Please.
